About Me

I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in Oct 1976. I love meeting new people so hope to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in Feb 2001. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I am out of Stamping Up since Spring 2017 but still have lots of supplies!!!! These days I'm back to quilting and having a great time.

June 2013 class projects

June totally got away from me and with Don sick most of the month, then water issues downstairs, it wasn't the best month.  Here's the projects we did in June and if you missed them, the girls had fun.  Hope you can make it to the next class.    Call me for a class seat.  336-764-3546.
June 2013 Stamp class at Joan Lowder’s                    Surprise, 4 projects.  My b’day gift to you.

Card 1 and 2 are very similar.  Keep it simple flowers”

Just different stamps and one does not have a white insert but rather the flower cut out and pop dotted.  Keep in mind some flowers are just easier to cut out.   Stamp your flowers in a scallop pattern leaving room at the bottom for the words.  Maybe you’ll want to do the words first.
Sets:  Petal Prints (yellow daisy) & Fifth Avenue Floral for the white flower

Card #3
Using Designer Paper, measure out the front of the card on scrap cardstock for your template and then add your scallop
And use this template over and over.  I free handed the hold punches.  Punch one butterfly out of white cardstock and at least 2 butterflies out of the designer paper that matches or coordinates, one for the front and one for the inside.  Viola, a quick and simple card.  I like it.  Inspired by Pinterest.

Card #4
Simply stamp on a sponged background sponged 3 colors (in this case: Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, and Marina Mist)  for the background.  Soft is better as you can add more color.  You could also do this with sunset colors.
Card:  Pool Party cardstock
Cardstock:  White piece  2 1/8 x 4 5/8”          Layered onto Midnight Muse  (In color 2011-2013) 2 5/16 x 4 7/8”          Scraps of:  Certainly Celery (retired 7/2013) punch Lg. Oval;   Midnight Muse (Retired 7/2013) punch Oval

My Blog

May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.

If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.

As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
