About Me

Midway, NC, United States
I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in Oct 1976. I love meeting new people so hope to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in Feb 2001. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I am out of Stamping Up since Spring 2017 but still have lots of supplies!!!! These days I'm back to quilting and having a great time.

January 2011 Stamp Class Projects

January 2011 could prove to be a tricky month when it comes to the weather. Be sure to check my calendar at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/joanlowder/ for future class dates. If there is snow Monday and Tuesday, the class for Jan. 10 and Jan 11 will be rescheduled for the following week so do keep a check on the weather and calendar.

This is project #1 for January 2011 classes.

Hope you'll consider booking a seat. Class fee is $15 and you will make 3 projects .

January 2011 special: Place a $25 order while in class and your class is free.

What can you bring to help out: well 3/4 square punch would help. Round scallop punch would help. Bring your own adhesive if you don't like glue sticks.

Coaster Calendar:

We're making a coaster calendar and I'll offer a choice of this style or a double that is hinged. Now my paper choices might be limited so if you prefer a paper you have then bring a sheet of paper or two that coordinate as I made the back in a different paper.

Ice cream cone card:

What a great way to celebrate 2011 when it's cold, ice cream. Come make an ice cream cone card for a friend who might be feeling down.

We'll alter an envelope to accommodate your ice cream to keep it from melting.

You'll get to use the Big Shot to make these cuties as we'll need a lot of texture. Can't tell you how much fun these are to make and think of those scraps. Remember how in the past I've said, when you have scraps and might have some tv time just make use of those punches and you'll have some pre-punched pieces for later. Well this could be one of those uses.

If not, call me C: 682-4107 or drop me an email, jlowder1@bellsouth.net

My Blog

May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.

If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.

As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
