About Me
- Joan Whitsett Lowder
- Midway, NC, United States
- I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in Oct 1976. I love meeting new people so hope to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in Feb 2001. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I am out of Stamping Up since Spring 2017 but still have lots of supplies!!!! These days I'm back to quilting and having a great time.

Stamped cards from 2019 coming to inspire you.
Here are the cards that the Seniors made in their classes for 2019 so far. My Seniors have been coming for about 10 years at least. We've lost 2 seniors over the years. Doris Biesecker was our last to depart and we do miss her. She had cancer that took her too soon. Recently another senior , Carolyn moved closer to her son. They have been so loyal all these years and we do as much laughing as stamping. It's a pleasure to have them once a month.

Hang around for 2019, that's almost over
Where does time go. I had such good intentions to keep up my blog this past year. Once again I shall try to bring you up to date on all the projects I've been working on this year.
Marked 2 things off my bucket list. On the list was to make a King quilt. Well I made 2. Stay tuned for them to appear this week.
My Senior ladies are still coming to my house for card class once a month so I'll have lots of past projects to share with you as well.
Had a Birthday and darn how the heck did I get to 72 with such a sad floppy body, no energy. Have someone cleaning the house now so you'd think I'd have more time and energy...... nope..... lots of naps and trying to get my sugar under control.
Hope you will like the upcoming pics of the past quilts and cards. See you soon. Hugs for hanging around and your patience with me. Joan

My Blog
May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.
If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.
As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.
Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
