About Me

My photo
Midway, NC, United States
I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in Oct 1976. I love meeting new people so hope to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in Feb 2001. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I am out of Stamping Up since Spring 2017 but still have lots of supplies!!!! These days I'm back to quilting and having a great time.

Chalkboard Labels to get you organized

Well I saw this on DIY Dish video, chalkboard labeling and thought it was something new. I got all excited. Trying to get back to their site to check out their label templates, seems tons of folks are labeling this way so guess it's not new. They were using Chalkboard paint which is crisp white and with a wet cloth wash it off and start over.

Ok, I have my chalkboard pens and then I'm off to get the paint. r some chalkboard labels and you don't have to mess with the paint. Believe me, I have a lot of stuff to label.

But if you want to save some time til you see if you like the idea or give it as a gift, Stampin Up offers the labels ready to go.

April 2010 stamp class with Awash with Flowers project 1

Well Spring is bursting out all over. What better way to celebrate than with Stampin Up's 2-step set: Awash with Flowers. This tall card to the right is the one we are making but of course a little tweak here and there can change the look of a card and someone in class always improves what we start with. Anytime you have a variation or a card, let me know and we'll post it. Below are a couple of other versions. I think that the 3rd. card will also use this set.

April 2010 stamp class using Awash with Flowers

We're using "Awash with Flowers" and here are 3 versions of the same card. They were cased and tweaked to what I had on hand. Not sure you can tell the difference but the designer paper is Old Olive. The card is A.Artichoke with W.White. The top card and one on the left are using Rich Razzleberry. The lower right is using Cherry Cobbler. We're making the lower right card but you'll have the option to change it up. I'll post one of the other projects in the am.

My Blog

May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.

If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.

As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
