About Me

I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in '76. I love meeting new people so hope you to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in '01. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I teach Stamp Classes in my stamp room and would love to meet you.

World Card Making Day Swap, October 1

Making beautiful cards is a piece of art work. If you find that you send a card to the same person a lot, you know a small feel good gift. Have you ever considered giving that person a small table easel to display their cards on. Ever thought about one for your desk or house to display your artwork on. Think of it as a small painting. Are you sharing your artwork. Ok so what if you cased the idea. After awhile you can tweak it and make it your own and before you know it, you are creating your own art.

So...... did you hear the news. October 3 is World Card Making Day. Let's do a Virtual Card Swap. Send me a picture of your Stampin Up card, be sure to include your name. I'll post them on 10/3. 2 entries per person but I'll let you know if I need more. If we have 50 entries, I'll do a drawing for blog candy. I'll number the cards as they come in.

Just email me with picture of your card and include name of the set used, please. Also include your name and if you can add it to the card as text, all the better. Email me, jlowder1@bellsouth.net your cards by October 1.

I've never tried this before, but let's see how it goes. Come on and join us, this could be fun.

My Blog

May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.

If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.

As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
