Just rejoined the local quilt guild and last year joined a local quilting bee "BEEcassos". It's more of an art group and they do some challenges. I needed a reason to dust off my sewing corner. The Forsyth Piecers and Quilters is having a quilt show March 2012. The BEE is doing a red/white challenge, 8 x 10" piece and our theme is "Southern Comfort" our favorite beverages. Some interesting beverages. Anyone who knows me knows mine is Southern Sweet Tea. So not sure if I pulled it off or not, but here is my version. Hope it shows up well. I do see now that the red text (just on the photo) takes away from it just a bit. I made the little napkin the glass is sitting on. Debating whether I need some little red seeds on the lemon slice as well as some glaze over the ice cubes. Comments and suggestions welcomed. All of the mini quilts will be attached to each other with either red binder clips or red ribbon. I think there will be 9 on display in the show.

Great job, Joan! Quilting always overwhelmed me. I'm impressed!
