About Me

I retired from Bali Bras, Sara Lee Intimates. Married in '76. I love meeting new people so hope you to hear from you. Drop me a line. I've been doing crafts of all kinds since I was a kid. I loved making things and especially things that are recycled. I had never stamped until 2001 when I went to a stamp class while on vacation. We went to a local store to buy the stamps we had used. OUCH. When we got home I saw a Stampin Up catalog and realized how much money I could save with their stamps and best part as they are sets that go together which makes for easy card making. After doing some thinking I decided I should sign up as a demo and see what happens. I didn't know the first thing about stamping and still learning. Retired from Sara Lee Intimates in '01. I was in sales after many years, since age 18, as an office person, secretary, office assistant, etc. I teach Stamp Classes in my stamp room and would love to meet you.

Autumn Days card, Sept.. 09 stamp class

Well as you can see the card is similar other than the corners are rounded. This is actually quite a nice set. The other pieces in the set are very fall and generic. The words came from Sincere Salutations #115068 $23.95 8 quotes. Of course I used a punch that now seems to be gone. Oh well I like it. The set with the bird is Autumn Days, # 115452 $23.95, 6 pcs. It's a great man's card. This is one of the cards in the Sept. class. The cardstock is Really Rust with Vanilla. The long strip is the new Soft Suede. The wheat behind the bird and on the tag are in Soft Suede, stamped off several times. The punch on the side of the bird is the spiral punch.
Items used:
Stamp Sets: Autumn Days, Sincere Salutations, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Punches: Tag punch I believe & Spiral Punch #108341.
Ink: Really Rust, Soft Suede.......Soft Suede ink pad #115657
Soft Suede Cardstock #115318 $7.95
Really Rust Cardstock, Very Vanilla Cardstock
, Soft Suede Cardstock

So do you find it helpful to have the colors, codes, etc. I'm interested as if it's helpful, I'm happy to do it but it is a bit time consuming. I do keep my book on monthly projects so I can always look back. Now do you also want to see sizes and details. You do know you can click on the photo to make it larger. Please share your comments and I hope to be posting this to Splitcoaststampers soon. How many details do you want.

Thanks to everyone for coming to class in Sept. It was mentioned in one class that folks would like to have a class later in the month where they might make at least 3-5 of the same card, such as shown above. I'd be just happy to do that if there is interest, and since you will have already done it, little instruction required. We just might give it a go. I would need to know how many as I'd be cutting for that class.

Check back to see the Rose card. Oh you will love it. It's watercolor on the shimmery paper.

My Blog

May, 2009 when I started the blog and it's still a learning experience even in 2017.

If you are ever looking for a retired stamp set, ask me, I might have it and let it go.

As a follower you'll get emails when I post things which I tend to do in batches, once or twice a month once I get back on schedule.

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all comments.
